Nobel Banquet 2002

Evening gown of marine blue silver-embroidered chiffon on a shell of bright blue Thai silk, with a chiffon train. This is the first time that The Queen chooses to wear a streamlined gown to a Nobel Banquet. She is wearing a hairnet with crystals.

Jewellery

The Queen is wearing Queen Sofia’s diamond tiara. With this she is wearing diamond-framed earrings, a diamond necklace and an oval diamond brooch.

OUR QUEEN – DRESSED FOR A NOBEL BANQUET
Year 2006 marked 30 years since Silvia Sommerlath became Queen of Sweden. It was, among other events, celebrated with an exhibition featuring the evening gowns worn by The Queen to the Nobel Banquets 1976–2006.
