In 2007, Jan Lundgren became the Nordic region's first and only jazz pianist to join the exclusive ranks of Steinway & Sons' Steinway Artists. Since 2010, he has served as Artistic Director of Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival and of Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen. For several years, he has appeared in his own series of concerts, Kind of Jazz, at Stockholm Concert Hall. He has also been a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music since 2022.
Since the mid-1990s, Hans Backenroth has been regarded as one of Scandinavia's leading bass players. He has played with many of the biggest names in jazz, including Arne Domnérus, Bengt Hallberg, Monica Zetterlund, Toots Thielemans, Harry 'Sweets' Edison, Clark Terry, Scott Hamilton, Harry Allen, Sven Asmussen, James Moody, Kenny Barron, Benny Green, Horace Parlan and not least legendary alto saxophonist and clarinettist Arne Domnérus.
