Cancelled: National Day concert

Classic choral music for the Swedish summer as the Stockholm Academic Choir (AK) entertain at Gripsholm Castle on Sweden’s National Day. A unique celebratory programme has been devised for this special occasion.

In accordance with the Public Health Agency of Sweden’s recommendations and the Government’s directives several of this spring’s programme events will be postponed or cancelled. Those who have already purchased tickets for these events will be contacted.

Celebrate National Day to the strains of moving and captivating musical accompaniment. AK is giving a National Day concert in the Hall of State at Gripsholm Castle.

The Stockholm Academic Choir (AK) was founded in 1931 as Sweden’s first college choir for mixed voices. Its name at the time was Stockholmsstudenternas Körsällskap. In 1937, the name Akademiska kören (Academic Choir) was adopted. The baton has been waved over the years by many renowned conductors and the choir has performed at events such as remembrance ceremonies on Swedish television.
