Guided tour: The Riddarholmen Church
Large and mysterious, the Riddarholmen Church towers over the city, Stockholm's oldest preserved building. It harbours secrets that we are still seeking answers to today.
The Riddarholmen Church is the burial church of the Swedish kings and Stockholm's only preserved medieval monastic church. Its history dates back to 1270, when the Franciscan monastery was founded on what is now Riddarholmen. The royal burial church is also an order church, and since 1748, the walls have been adorned with the coats of arms of the knights of the Order of the Seraphim.
You can explore the church on your own, but during the guided tour, you will learn more about the church's secrets, history, and how it is used today.
