The Home Guard's Music Corps strives to preserve and develop Swedish military music traditions. The corps follows the Swedish tradition, with a line-up that includes old instruments such as the E♭ and B♭ cornet and the valve trombone.
The main role of the Home Guard's music corps is to play during parades and the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, as well as at unit ceremonies and concerts. Every year, the Home Guard's music corps perform at military and civilian music festivals, both in Sweden and abroad.
